Am I ready for a Midtown Yoga class?

You are more than ready if you come with an open mind and good vibes! If you are at all nervous or fearful about trying yoga, we hope that you will find our studio community to be open and non-judgmental.

Which class is right for me?

MY Hot Flow classes are challenging, physical, and heated to 100 – 105 degrees. For those new to hot yoga, we recommend starting with a MY Warm Flow class, if possible. These slower-paced classes focus more on alignment and fundamentals of breath. That said, we welcome all levels to come and try out any class. Yoga is all about your personal journey on the mat. We have a “do what you can” philosophy. Our teachers will offer modifications, adjustments, and advancements in all classes.

Are all classes heated?

We have a variety of classes heated to different levels. MY Hot Flow, MY Core Flow, and MY Connect are heated to 100 – 105 degrees. MY Strength, MY Warm Flow and MY Unwind are heated to 85 – 90 degrees.

What time should I arrive before my first class?

Arrive at least 15 minutes before class to check in, set up your mat, and get to know your instructor. This will also give you a chance to enjoy our beautiful lobby and connect with other MY yogis.

What should I bring?

Bring water and a yoga mat if you have one. No worries if you don’t! We’ve got everything you need! A yoga mat and Yogitoes mat towel rental are complimentary on your first visit. We also sell both—plus bottled water and reusable water bottles.

What do I wear?

Wear comfortable athletic clothing that allows you to move and sweat. You won’t need shoes or socks for any of our classes.

Do you have showers?

Yes! We also have hair dryers, all the amenities you need, and complimentary shower towels.

Do you rent mats and towels?

We rent mats for $2 and Yogitoes mat towels for $4. We also have bottled water available for purchase. First time in the studio? All this is on us!

Sweat towels and shower towels are always complimentary.

Can I do yoga every day?

If your body says yes, who are we to say no?! If you’re taking class every day, we recommend taking a variety of styles to give your body an opportunity to work in different ways and to recover. Our MY Unwind class is a great option when you need to chill. And any time you come to the studio, make sure you hydrate, listen to your body, and take breaks when you need to.

Do I need to sign up in advance?

The sooner you sign up, the more likely you can guarantee your spot! We do limit the number of students in each class. We can never predict when a class will be full, so we highly recommend that you sign up in advance. Reserve online, and we’ll hold a spot for you until the scheduled class time! Cutting it close? Give us a call!

What if I’m running a few minutes late?

Out of respect for our teachers and students, we start classes on time and do not allow students to enter class after the class has begun. If you are running late, we will do our best to get your into the next scheduled class.

What is your class cancellation policy?

In order to give everyone a chance to practice, our cancellation window is 8 hours prior to the start of class. If you cancel within 8 hours of class, this is considered a late cancel. For unlimited members, a late cancel or no-show will result in an automatic $10 fee charged to your card on file. For all other students, a late cancel or no-show will result in forfeiture of the class.

Can I share my class pack?

We do want you to flow with your friends, but class packages and memberships are non-transferable.

Do you allow drop-ins?

Of course! We do recommend signing up in advance since we can never predict when a class will fill up.

Can I bring my child with me to class?

Anyone under 18 years of age must be accompanied to the studio by a parent or guardian on their first visit so that the parent can complete a liability waiver. Ages 12 and older may take MY Warm Flow and MY Unwind classes, and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian in each class. Ages 16 and older may take MY Hot Flow, MY Core Flow, My Strength, and MY Freeflow classes.

How do I freeze or cancel my membership?

We require a 30-days notice to cancel your membership. Or do you just need to take a break? You can freeze your membership for up to 3 months in a year—and you’ll keep your monthly membership rate upon reactivation! To change your membership, email info@midtownyogastudios.com to cancel or complete the Membership Change Request Form.
